Help Us Celebrate Jane Morrison
Does hanging out at home have you climbing the walls? Is social distancing getting you down? Then we have a project for you – one that you can accomplish without leaving your home!
As some of you are aware, our long-time president Jane Morrison is celebrating her 100th birthday next month. It’s a notable occasion, but one that we must celebrate remotely – and, with your help, we will.
The Jane Centennial Project is our way of celebrating Jane’s birthday even though we can’t physically be with her. We’re seeking videos, photos, and written material chronicling Jane’s impact on your life. Here’s how you can participate:
Video submittals: Identify yourself by name, wish Jane a happy birthday, and share an appreciation of or short story about Jane. In honor of Jane’s disdain of long speeches, we ask you to keep your video at 2 minutes or less – in Jane’s honor, longer submittals are subject to cuts. Email your video (or send questions first) to Jay Wilson at strewthmate@gmail.com For the best result, please remember to hold your phone in the horizontal position rather than the typical vertical. If the video is too big for your email service to handle, contact Jay for instructions how to proceed.
Photos: Do you have a picture of yourself with Jane? Send it to us with information about the people in the photo and where, when and under what circumstances it was taken. If you can scan and send it, email to strewthmate@gmail.com. If not, we’ll do the digitizing and return the original to you. If it needs to be digitized, mail it to Jennifer Clary, c/o SF Tomorrow, 5537 Mission St., #201, San Francisco CA 94112.
Stories: We don’t apply the 2-minute limit to written submittals, but remember that Jane was a ruthless editor, so please keep it short or we may have to do it for you – in Jane’s name, of course! Share your favorite story about Jane and you! Email stories to Joni Eisen at jonieisen@sbcglobal.net
Our deadline for collecting memories of Jane is April 10. We’ll be providing the final cut to Jane in time for her birthday on April 17th and will post on the SF Tomorrow website.
☛ Video submittals should be sent to: Jay Wilson (strewthmate@gmail.com)
☛ Photos may be emailed to Jay (see above); hard copies may be sent to Jennifer Clary c/o San Francisco Tomorrow, 5537 Mission St., #201, San Francisco 94112
☛ Stories may be emailed to: jonieisen@sbcglobal.net
We don’t want to leave anyone out; please pass this invitation along to anyone who may want to participate. Help us make Jane’s centennial a great [non]event!

I know that I am late to the celebration but I just came across this article after thinking of Jane and googling her name on the web!
How wonderful that she looks fabulous and appears as bright as ever!
I worked at KNBR (1972-1988) and Jane was a wonderful mentor and friend. I worked as a studio engineer with Frank Dill and Mike Cleary but was initially hired in the Continuity (advertisers) Dept.
Belated Happy Birthday Jane!!!
I will always remember you, and cherish the years we worked together.
