Invitation to the Global Teach-In on April 25th from 9am to 1pm

April 21st, 2012 No Comments »

We are inviting you to participate in a unique and exciting international event.  Arc Ecology is hosting the San Francisco portion of a “Global Teach-in” on the economy, sustainability, and governance.  The event will take place from 9am to 1pm Wednesday, April 25th at the City College San Francisco Mission Campus at 1125 Valencia, between 22nd and 23rd in Room 108 on the first floor.

The Global Teach-In is designed to link a multiple number of cities around the US and internationally in real time via the internet in support of a threefold agenda: (a) address the economic, energy supply and ecological crisis, (b) present global, national, and regional alternatives, and (c) create a framework for follow up after the teach-in to exploit the power of local examples (cross learning) and the economies of scale in media, economic and political power represented by the Global Teach-In network.   San Francisco will link via Skype and the internet with other communities around the world to participate in the Teach-in.

We have limited space.  Just 30 seats for this event and we are hoping you will join us to listen, share your experience, and discuss what we can do to follow-up the discussion.

So join us for coffee, some light food, and a good discussion. To confirm you attendance, just email me at saulbloom@arcecology.org or call the office at 415-643-1190.
